PageNav Privacy Policy
PageNav is a browser extension that adds a floating outline to content-heavy web pages so users can preview page structure and jump between sections quickly.
What data PageNav accesses
- The structure and visible text of the current web page
- The current site's hostname
- Local extension settings saved by the user
How PageNav uses data
- Analyze page headings and structure
- Build an on-page outline for navigation
- Highlight the current section while scrolling
- Save local preferences such as theme, trigger mode, and site-level enable or disable settings
Data processing location
Page analysis is performed locally in the user's browser. PageNav does not send page content, headings, or browsing data to external servers.
Data sharing
PageNav does not sell, share, or transfer user data to third parties.
Human access
No human reviews user page content through PageNav because the extension does not transmit page data to a remote service.
Advertising
PageNav does not use user data for advertising, profiling, or data brokerage.
Data retention
PageNav stores only local extension preferences in Chrome storage, such as theme, trigger mode, panel width, minimum headings threshold, and per-site enable or disable state. This information remains in the user's browser storage until the user changes settings or removes the extension.
